Privacy Policy
Plain English, no fine print. Here's exactly what we collect when you book, why we need it, who else touches it, and how long we keep it.
1. Who we are
This site is operated by Precision Haul and Dump LLC, a veteran-owned dump trailer rental and hauling business serving Utah County, Utah. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean Precision Haul and Dump LLC, and "you" means anyone who uses this website or books a job with us.
Questions about anything here? Email precision.dumping@gmail.com or call (435) 899-9752.
2. What we collect
When you request a booking
The booking form asks for, and we store:
- Your name, phone number, and email address
- The service address where the trailer goes, and any access notes you give us
- The service you want, your loading option, the date, start time, and number of days
- What you're planning to load, plus anything you write in the notes field
- Your typed legal name as an electronic signature on the Rental Agreement, along with the date, time, and version of the agreement you signed
When you pay
Payment is handled by Square, not by this website. Card numbers never pass through our site and we never see or store them. What we do see is the invoice we sent, its amount, and whether it's been paid.
When you call, text, or email
We keep the message and your contact details so we can answer you and remember the job later.
When you just visit
We use Google Analytics to see whether anyone is finding this site and where people give up on the booking form. It is set up deliberately narrowly, and here is exactly what that means.
It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Google Analytics normally drops a cookie so it can recognise you on a later visit; we've turned that off. Nothing is written to your browser, which is also why you won't find a cookie banner on this site — there is nothing to ask you about.
What it does receive, on each visit:
- Which pages you looked at, and in what order
- Roughly where you are — city or region, worked out from your IP address, which is shortened before it's stored
- Your device type, browser, and screen size
- How you got here — a search engine, a link on another site, or typing the address in
- Whether you opened the booking form, how far down it you got, whether you sent it, and what came back
That last one is the point of the whole thing: if people keep stopping at the same field, we want to fix that field.
What it never receives is anything you typed. Not your name, not your phone number, not your email, not the address you want the trailer at, not your signature. The measurement records the name of a form field — that someone reached "phone" — and never its contents. Nothing you enter on this site is sent to Google Analytics, ever.
No advertising, and no tracking you across other sites. Advertising features, ad personalisation, and Google's cross-site signals are all switched off. We don't run ads, we don't build profiles, and we don't sell anything to anybody.
If you'd rather not be counted. Turn on "Do Not Track" in your browser settings and this site won't measure you at all — we check for it and stop. Any ordinary content or ad blocker will also stop it, and nothing on this site breaks if you do either one; the booking form works exactly the same.
One more thing worth naming: the site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google's servers and Google receives your IP address and basic browser information as part of that request. Those two — Analytics and Fonts — are the only third-party requests this page makes. If that ever changes, we'll say so here and update the date at the top.
3. Why we use it
Only for running the job and the business behind it:
- Scheduling your drop-off and pickup, and putting it on our calendar
- Getting the trailer to the right address and knowing what we're hauling before we load it
- Sending you booking confirmations, reminders, and a copy of your signed agreement
- Generating and sending your invoice, and confirming payment
- Answering your questions and following up on a job
- Keeping records for taxes, accounting, insurance, and in case of a dispute or damage claim
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not add you to a marketing list. If we ever want to send you promotions, we'll ask first.
4. Who else sees it
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the services that make the booking work, and only as far as they need it:
- Google — your booking is recorded in Google Sheets, scheduled in Google Calendar, and confirmation emails are sent through Gmail. Separately, Google Analytics measures how the site is used, as described in section 2 — it receives nothing you type into the booking form.
- Square — receives your name, email, and invoice details so it can bill you and process the payment. Square handles your card data under its own privacy policy.
Beyond that, we'll disclose information only if the law requires it, if we need to respond to a legal claim, or if we ever sell the business — in which case customer records would transfer with it, still governed by a policy at least as protective as this one.
Our disposal partners and the landfill never receive your personal information. They get the material, not the paperwork.
5. How we contact you
We'll reach out by phone, text, or email about your booking — confirming a time, telling you we're on the way, following up on payment. These are service messages tied to a job you asked for. We won't send marketing texts or emails without asking you first, and you can tell us to stop at any time.
6. How long we keep it
We keep booking records, signed agreements, and invoices for three years after a rental is completed, then delete them. Three years covers the window in which a dispute or claim realistically comes back around.
Two exceptions: records tied to an open dispute, insurance claim, or legal matter are kept until it's resolved, and records we're required to keep longer for tax purposes are kept for as long as the law requires.
7. How we protect it
Your booking data lives in a Google account protected by a password and two-step verification, and access is limited to the owner of the business. Card data is handled entirely by Square. Credentials used by our booking system are stored outside the website's code, where a site visitor can't reach them.
That said, no method of storing or transmitting information is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach ever affected your information, we'd tell you.
8. Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we have about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your information — we'll do it unless we're required to keep a record for taxes, or it's tied to an unresolved dispute or claim
- Stop contacting you, other than what's necessary for a booking already in progress
Email precision.dumping@gmail.com or call (435) 899-9752 and we'll take care of it within 30 days. The Utah Consumer Privacy Act applies to companies much larger than ours, but we'll honor these requests regardless of whether a law requires us to.
9. Children
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Our rentals require a signer who is at least 18 years old. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. For anything significant, we'll say what changed. The version in effect when you booked is the one that applies to that booking.
